Our first performers of the 2025 festival – For the first time, we’re thrilled to welcome Mullion School Choir to this year’s festival, and they will proudly showcasing their brilliant vocal ensembles – Vocal Notes and the brand-new Mullion Vocal Pods.
Vocal Notes was founded in 2023 and brings together enthusiastic singers from Years 7 to 11.
With a strong focus on contemporary three-part harmony, the group has quickly built a reputation for polished and energetic performances.
They have showcased their talents at regional events such as the Music for Youth Festivals and the County Music Festivals, representing the vibrant musical spirit of their school and local community.
In 2025, Mullion School launched a second ensemble, the Mullion Vocal Pods, to nurture advanced vocal skills and develop close harmony singing among its students.
This group offers an exciting platform for young vocalists to grow musically while exploring more intricate repertoire.
Together, Vocal Notes and the Mullion Vocal Pods bring a fresh and youthful take on traditional and contemporary sea shanties, and are delighted to be performing at this year’s Lizard Sea Shanty Festival.
